What is CBM?
CBM stands for Cubic Meter. It is the standard unit for measuring shipment volume in sea freight. 1 CBM = 1m x 1m x 1m. For reference, a 20ft container holds about 28 CBM of goods.
Why is my "Chargeable Weight" higher than actual weight?
Carriers charge for space, not just weight. If your package is light but large (like pillows), you pay for the "Volumetric Weight". Express usually calculates this as (L x W x H cm) / 5000. If this number is higher than the actual weight in kg, you pay this amount.
What are DDP and DAP terms?
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Supplier handles everything, including customs and taxes. Best for beginners.
DAP (Delivered At Place): Supplier ships to your door, but YOU pay import duties and taxes upon arrival.
