15-20% all-in is typical for Tier 1 platforms. Under 12% is a good deal. Over 25% means you're overpaying or the platform is desperate.
Should I pay upfront or from raise?
Negotiate to pay from raise proceeds when possible. Upfront fees are risky if the raise underperforms. Good platforms take success-aligned fees.
Token allocation vs cash - which is worse?
Depends on your FDV expectations. At $100M FDV, 2% tokens = $2M. That's often more than cash fees. Negotiate lower token allocation if you expect high valuation.
Are marketing packages worth it?
Often overpriced. Ask for specific deliverables and past results. A $20K package might just be 3 tweets and an AMA. Negotiate or skip.
