Frequently Asked Questions
How do I highlight a region in a JPG image?
To highlight a region in a JPG: 1) Upload your JPG image, 2) Choose highlight shape (rectangle or oval), 3) Set the position and size of the highlight area, 4) Select highlight color and opacity, 5) Click Apply Highlight, 6) Download the highlighted JPG. You can adjust the transparency to control how much the original image shows through.
What highlight shapes are available?
The tool supports two highlight shapes: Rectangle (for highlighting text, boxes, or rectangular areas) and Oval (for highlighting circular objects, faces, or rounded areas). Both shapes support custom positioning, sizing, color, and opacity.
Can I control the highlight transparency?
Yes! Use the opacity slider to control highlight transparency from 0% (completely transparent) to 100% (completely opaque). Lower opacity (20-40%) creates a subtle highlight that shows the original image through, while higher opacity (60-80%) creates a more prominent highlight.
What colors can I use for highlighting?
You can use any color for highlighting! The tool includes a color picker with preset colors (yellow, green, blue, red, orange, pink) and a custom color selector. Yellow is the default as it's commonly used for highlighting, but you can choose any color that fits your needs.
Can I add multiple highlights to one image?
Currently, the tool applies one highlight at a time. To add multiple highlights, download the image after the first highlight, then upload it again and add another highlight. Repeat this process for each additional highlight you want to add.
What is JPG highlighting used for?
JPG highlighting is used for: annotating screenshots and tutorials, emphasizing important areas in presentations, marking regions in educational materials, creating visual guides and documentation, highlighting products in marketing images, and drawing attention to specific details in photos.
Is this JPG highlighter free?
Yes, completely free! No registration, no watermarks, no limits. Highlight unlimited JPG images with all features available. Use it for tutorials, presentations, annotations, or any other purpose without restrictions.
Does highlighting reduce image quality?
The tool preserves the original image quality as much as possible. The highlight is drawn on top of the original image, and the output is saved as a high-quality JPG. However, JPG is a lossy format, so there may be minimal quality loss during re-encoding.
