What is an LRC file?
An LRC file synchronizes song lyrics with audio playback. Each line has a timestamp like [MM:SS.cc] followed by the lyric text. LRC files also support metadata tags at the top: [ti:Title], [ar:Artist], [al:Album]. Most music players display LRC files as scrolling lyrics alongside the song.
How do I use the LRC Lyrics Editor?
Paste an existing .lrc file into the left panel and click "Parse LRC →" to load it into the editor. Or create from scratch using "+ Add Line". Fill in timestamps (MM:SS.cc format) and lyric text. What do the LRC metadata tags mean?
[ti:] = song title, [ar:] = artist, [al:] = album, [by:] = LRC creator, [offset:] = global timing offset in milliseconds. These are all optional but help music players display complete song information alongside lyrics.
What is the LRC offset tag and how does it work?
The [offset:] tag shifts all timestamps globally without modifying them. Positive delays lyrics; negative advances them. Alternatively, use the "Shift All" toolbar tool to permanently apply a timing adjustment to every timestamp in the file.
What is the correct LRC timestamp format?
LRC timestamps use the format [MM:SS.cc] where MM = minutes (zero-padded), SS = seconds (zero-padded), and cc = centiseconds (hundredths of a second). For example, [03:45.28] means 3 minutes, 45.28 seconds. Invalid timestamps are highlighted in red in the editor.
What music players support LRC files?
LRC is supported by foobar2000, AIMP, Winamp, VLC (with plugin), Poweramp, BlackPlayer, Musicolet (Android), and Evermusic, Cs Music (iOS). Most Chinese streaming apps (QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music) also use LRC format internally. Place the .lrc file in the same folder as your audio file with the same filename.
Can I have multiple timestamps for the same lyric?
Yes — standard LRC supports multiple timestamps per line for repeated sections like choruses. In our editor, simply add multiple entries with the same lyric text but different timestamps. The generated LRC will list them as separate lines, which is compatible with all major LRC players.
