Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my bra size accurately?
To measure your bra size accurately: 1) Measure your underbust (band size) by placing a measuring tape around your ribcage, just under your breasts, keeping it parallel to the ground, 2) Measure your bust (cup size) by placing the tape around the fullest part of your breasts, 3) Calculate your band size by rounding the underbust measurement to the nearest even number, 4) Calculate your cup size by subtracting the band size from the bust measurement. Each inch difference represents one cup size (A=1\", B=2\", C=3\", etc.). Our tool automates these calculations for accurate results.
What's the difference between international bra size systems?
Different countries use different bra sizing systems: US/UK systems use band sizes in inches (32, 34, 36, etc.) with letter cup sizes (A, B, C, D, etc.), European systems use band sizes in centimeters (70, 75, 80, etc.) with letter cup sizes, Australian systems are similar to UK sizing, and Japanese systems use different cup size progressions. Our tool converts between all major international sizing systems to help you find the right size regardless of where you're shopping or what system the brand uses.
How do I know if my bra fits correctly?
A properly fitting bra should: have a band that sits parallel to the ground and feels snug but comfortable, have cups that fully contain your breasts without spillage or gaps, have straps that don't dig into your shoulders or slip off, have the center gore (the piece between the cups) lying flat against your chest, and provide support without causing discomfort. Signs of poor fit include: band riding up in back, straps falling off shoulders, breast spillage, gaps in cups, or underwire digging into your skin. Our tool helps you find the right size to achieve proper fit.

Yes, our bra size chart and calculator is completely free to use with no registration required. You can calculate unlimited bra sizes, convert between international sizing systems, access comprehensive size charts, get measurement guidance, and use all features without any cost. There are no hidden fees, premium features, or usage limits. All bra size calculations are provided free to help you find the perfect fit.
Can I convert between different bra size systems?
Absolutely! Our tool includes comprehensive conversion between all major international bra sizing systems including US, UK, European, Australian, and Japanese sizes. Simply enter your measurements or current size, and the tool will show you the equivalent size in all other systems. This is particularly useful when shopping international brands, traveling, or when brands use different sizing conventions than you're familiar with.
What if my calculated size doesn't feel right?
Bra sizing is a starting point, and individual fit can vary based on breast shape, brand differences, and personal preference. If your calculated size doesn't feel right, try: adjusting the band size up or down by one size, trying different cup sizes within the same band size, considering different bra styles (full coverage, balconette, etc.), or consulting with a professional fitter. Our tool provides size ranges and fitting tips to help you find the most comfortable option for your body.
How often should I remeasure my bra size?
It's recommended to remeasure your bra size every 6-12 months, or whenever you experience significant weight changes, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or notice that your current bras no longer fit properly. Body changes, aging, and lifestyle factors can all affect your bra size over time. Regular measurements ensure you're always wearing the most comfortable and supportive size. Our tool makes it easy to recalculate your size whenever needed.
Who should use bra size calculators?
Bra size calculators are essential for anyone who wears bras and wants to ensure proper fit and comfort. This includes women of all ages, those shopping for lingerie online, people experiencing body changes, those new to bra wearing, individuals shopping international brands, lingerie retailers helping customers, and anyone interested in proper bra fitting. The tool is particularly helpful for online shopping where you can't try on items before purchasing.
